Kiambu, Change is Here

Prudence. Purpose. Progress.

Prudence

Fellow Kenyans, over the past couple of years, I have worked tirelessly as a thought leader and expert in matters of the economy, governance, and competent leadership in Kenya. Many of you have journeyed with me as I exposed the kleptocracy that is our government—a confederacy of thieves and charlatans spanning from the President to the MCA. You have witnessed their greed, duplicity, and cunning proclivities. You have seen how a tiny fraction of our great country—the ruling class—has abused the privilege of public service to enrich themselves at the expense of the most vulnerable, leaving pain, mayhem, and suffering in their wake.

You have seen politicians tell your child there are funds for education while spending five, eight, even ten times more on luxury and wasteful trips abroad. You have seen them pay themselves 100 times what the average citizen earns instead of equipping hospitals and paying doctors. You have watched them bankrupt our country to fund third or fourth homes overseas, orchestrating deals with criminal associates that deliver predictable results: poor services, underdevelopment, and loss of scarce resources.

The difference between our country and developed nations lies not in what we own, but in what we do. Our leaders think nothing of spending KSh 30 million on a two-week “personal branding” trip to Dubai, while hundreds of thousands of children go to class hungry. They will blow KSh 20 million that could feed an entire school for a year, just to pocket KSh 2 million in fake travel and training allowances. This is the reckless disregard for taxpayer money that has crippled our nation.

Purpose

The entire point of government—any government—is to serve citizens, not itself or corrupt politicians. Yet today, government has been perverted into a tool of exploitation by those entrusted to lead. In Kiambu County alone, KSh 880 million has been wasted on luxury trips in just the first two years of Mr. Wamatangi’s administration—money that benefits only the corrupt few.

Worse still, our politicians and their cronies take 55% of the county’s entire revenue for themselves, their aides, and staff—far above the legal limit of 35%. In a county of 2.5 million residents, only about 1% of the population is employed by the county government, yet this tiny group consumes more than half the county’s revenue in salaries alone. That is before even counting the waste, perks, and corruption that bleed our resources dry.

Our government must be re-oriented back to its rightful purpose: service to citizens. Government must work for the people—not the politicians. It must prioritize education, healthcare, youth empowerment, and economic opportunity, not opulence and self-indulgence. That will be the essence of my government.

Progress

Anchored by prudence and purpose, Kiambu County will realize progress for our citizens. What is happening must change. Our relationship with government—and with those who wield power—must fundamentally transform. We must reclaim our government and rebuild it around integrity, accountability, and competence. Every shilling of taxpayer money should serve the public, not line private pockets.

I enter politics to end impunity, corruption, and greed in our governance. To bring common sense and sound business principles into public administration. To ensure that government functions as it should: efficiently, transparently, and for the benefit of all.

I believe it is possible to build a government that truly serves its people—a government that delivers, not steals; that empowers, not exploits; that is driven by the public good, not private gain. A government for all citizens, not just the privileged 1%.

Together, with your support, we can restore integrity, accountability, and competence in our institutions. I ask for your vote so that, together, we can build a Kiambu—and a Kenya—where prudence guides our spending, purpose drives our leadership, and progress defines our legacy.

The setting has wooden paneling on the walls and a gray floor, suggesting a community event or gathering.
